I do!! However squirrels have a death wish, they wait safely by the side of the road then play chicken with the car at the last minute. So far I have not murdered any!

Also owls. They sit super still in the middle of the road until you hoot at them and then they MIGHT leave. If you don't see them in time they go splat.

Theres a ratio of how much damage will occur that I immediately evaluate. If running over the suicidal squirrel means less damage then I will oblige that squirrel. The moose with the death wish will forever be denied.

I accidentally murdered a hedgehog last year. His defense strategy was to curl up in a small, prickly ball in the middle of the road on a dark night. He chose ... poorly.

I once ran over a lizard with my bike. He had already come out of the bushes, was in the middle of the street - and then decided to turn back around and run straight underneath my wheels :'(
