I still remember a "documentary" that tried to convince people how racist the Lion King was because the hyenas were voiced by black people.
.
First of all, you're too stupid to tie your shoes without a helmet on.
.
Second of all, Mufasa was voiced by a Black guy. He has one of the most iconic voices in the industry, and Mufasa was practically God in the movie. Epitome of power, strength, skill, justice, wisdom, etc. Simba never felt he could measure up, and truth be told he never fully did
.
Third, scar was voiced by a white guy. Scar is portrayed as far more despicable than any of the hyenas in the entire thing. Killed his brother ffs. Tried to kill his nephew. Wanted to rape Nala (cut from original film mind you).
When I was in preschool, I spelled honey the correct way. I watched Winnie the Pooh (the scene where he spells "hunny" with blocks) and was convinced that I had been doing it wrong for the longest time. My dad finally called me out on it in 1st grade.
