Now explain that to Trudeau about guns, but make sure you use small words. If he starts "uh ah uh"'ing at you, simply distract him with some hair gel, and then promise to take him for a ride in your helicopter
Oh suuuuure, people compare not wearing a mask to being a raging, gun-wielding, trigger-happy sociopath. But if you so much as imply the peaceful protestors might in some way be linked to the rioters, everyone loses their damn minds.

It's almost like sweeping-generalizations garnished with hyperbole aren't the way reality works.
In fairness, if the guy was a part of a concentrated and ongoing effort to sow violence and destruction that regularly killed innocent people and prompted even street gangs to play at being the good guy, I'd be against anti-maskers on principle, whether I agree or not.
Much like how I was on board after Floyd was murdered, and then quickly hopped off when it became an excuse to loot, murder, and a rallying cry against law and justice.
I separate what happened to George Floyd from the riots tbh. Whether that's right or not, who knows. I know there's people out there who are genuinely asking for help because they don't know what to do.
.
I was never fully in favour of the protests because 1) hypocrisy (covid) and 2) for the most part they often didn't articulate WHAT exactly they wanted. It's easy to say "equality" but what does that mean? What do you need to see in order to feel equal? You can't demand a change you can't define and then get mad when it doesn't happen.
.
I am entirely against the rioters, and these assholes Virtue-Signalling on the tv, and the people bowing in the streets. The autonomous zones, the anti-police propaganda, the cancel-culture. None of that is about George Floyd. Or black people. Or equality.
At the end of the day anti-mask (<- not what most of them actually are, but nobody seems able to comprehend that) and the protesters all are just full of different aspects of humanity.

Silencing and condemning the all for the actions/logic of only some is a very rocky road to head down, and there's a very sharp drop waiting at the end. Most people won't recover from it if we ever finally go over

Unrelated but I just fought with my phone for a full minute because it has decided "won't" is no longer a word and must be replaced by "don't" at every opportunity
In fairness- no one compared anyone to anyone. This literally says: “this one guy was asked to do a simple thing but instead, went on a rampage. Jeez guy. Just wear a damn mask.” Although the last part could just apply to everyone. “Just wear a damn mask” is a good overall message to all the people whining about it- that or “do something besides whine. Go actually prove your point instead of trying to cry until the government is pressured into making more foolish concessions that compromise our recovery because people don’t want to follow some restrictive but basic steps to help end this faster...”
