I wonder if Guest_ knows why they are doing that, cause i'm very curious and I swear Guest knows everything (if anybody knows, I would like to be enlightened :D)
Apparently this is good for farming in poor/rocky soil where irrigation is an issue and also in colder climates where the increased airflow warms the soil more quickly.
