If being a stupid idiot is what it takes to be the most successful, most powerful, and most influential nation in all of history, with the most advances in medicine, technology, infrastructure, and to become the longest enduring and most stable (classical) liberal republic ever, then okay. Someone must have changed definitions on us, but that sounds like a Euro problem. Good thing we're on track to disentangle ourselves from your affairs.
Funny enough, khan actually created one of the most highly praised societies in history, albeit the atrocities he had to commit to get there. But hey! Name anyone who gained power without committing genocide
No, it's years and years of constant mean-spirited, factually incorrect, hypocritical, and/or nonsensical attacks that are then played off as "lighthearted jokes" when challenged. Usually from people that are either no better than us (usually worse), or simply incompatible with and uncomprehending of our culture, history, and values.
Oh no, this meme isn't factually correct, whatever shall we do?
America has a history of slavery, a culture of racism, you value very little, you have no free healthcare, the highest rate of incarcerations per capita yet still consider yourself 'the greatest country ever'. 200 or so countries in the world, 95% which have freedom but the USA thinks its the only free country. Pure arrogance.
We killed and died to free those slaves.
We've addressed the racism, and in fact to this day are finetuning it's eradication.
Healthcare is an individual prerogative, and only got so bad in the first place because of government interference.
That too many choose to abuse our greater liberty is not an indictment against us or the aforementioned liberties.
Any country that punishes political speech, outlaws ideologies or beliefs, feels the need to disarm it's people, or thinks it's the government's purview to take care of your individual wants, is simply not free.
Disarm it's people??? Since 2009 there have been 288 school shootings in America. The next highest ranked county for that is canada with 2. And before you ask, I'm australian, my country is great but I would never be arrogant enough to say it's the greatest country in the world.
No, we have not had 288 school shootings by any honest metric.
If you don't think your country is the greatest in the world, I implore you to find one you do and go there.
And I'd like some evidence that the murder of Floyd was racially motivated, by every account and clip I've seen, it was simply a piece of shit murderer on a power trip with cowards on his flanks.
"The Daily Caller has frequently published false stories. The website publishes articles that dispute the scientific consensus on climate change. The website has published articles by white supremacists such as Jason Kessler and Peter Brimelow."
You need to do better research. Start by cutting out the suicides, after-school gang violence, and abandoned schools. Then get rid of the nerf and bb gun incidents. Discount the ones where no students or faculty were involved or even present, as well as the accidental discharges. Finally, explain rationally why something that accounts for less than a rounding error's worth of crime should strip hundreds of millions of innocent Americans of their civil and natural rights.
Then get back to me.
So you would claim, in all honesty, that the USA does not have a problem with gun violence? Not talking school shooting, not talking mass shootings, just gun violence? Compared to other developed countries like Australia, Canada, New Zealand etc. Also I fail to see how owning a gun is a 'natural right'.
In my eyes, gun violence is no worse than violent violence. Compared to other "developed countries" (by the way, racist much?) our crime and murder stats are about par for course. So yeah, there's a problem, but it ain't to do with any inanimate object.
Effective arms are an extension of the right to defend one's own life. In Australia grandma get beaten to death with a brick, in the US grandma can, and does, fight back effectively. Aside from that, they are also a civil right.
My grandmother has a better chance of defending herself with her FN 509 than any European grandmother ever could with her phone.
And look it up brother, the grandparents have defended themselves using AR-15s.
Step one - make a light hearted joke about America
Step two - Wait.

Not my preferred source, but it clearly outlines the problems with CNN's count.
Then get back to me.
