Sexual identity is a separate construct from gender- but traditional gender roles tend to incorporate sexual identity as an aspect. Where in human history or the animal kingdom which the concept of gender does not exist as such- sexual attraction still exists. Therefore attraction to a specific gender would be best described as a kink or fetish as opposed to a default component of sexuality. Thusly the abolishment of gender as a concept has no bearing on ones sexual identity unless one based their choices on gender as opposed to other factors. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
