As a kid I remember the story being a Cayuga duckling being born in a swans nest and the story talking about learning to accept who you are.. now I just see it as the surprisingly racist version

The reason the version @yamz is talking about is racist is because Cayuga ducklings are black, the implication being that a black among whites would be seen as ugly
I guess you can always find the positive side of negative things so i get your point @creativedragonbaby . I was just saying I didn't quite learn the proper one and there was no reason to make the details so indicative of real societal issues rather than just about beauty and acceptance. It's to be a kids story
