I feel like Warner Brothers have done real good stuff with Deathstroke, and Harley Quinn recently, granted not all of Harley Quinn is perfect but it still goes beyond the "cartoon said a swear" point.

Yeah
Tho I still think there’s that aspect of “its adult cause violence and swears”
There’s mature themes, but they can still be understood by older children
Gravity Falls is literally one of those. There's also Gumball. If not that, there's BoJack. If not that, there's Cowboy Bebop. If not that, there is Rick and Morty. If not that, there is Archer. If not that, there is Futurama. If not that, there is Disenchantment. There are so many great adult animated shows. Just look for them.
That's why I said a lot. Gravity Falls, Futurama, and Bobs Burgers are designed primarily for a mid-teens audience. Rick and Morty, Disenchantment, and in some cases Archer rely a lot on the tropes of swearing and profane things on screen which oftentimes distracts from the deeper narrative. Not too mention that most of the given examples stick pretty closely to the genre of adult-comedy. Bojack is probably the best example given.
Bruh, teens don't mean kids, it's still adult animation. And if that's not the case then I will give you Gravity Falls' first season, the rest of it is still pretty mature. With other shows, they are making a mockery out of the tropes. Especially Rick and Morty and Archer. It's a parody of shows that use similar tropes. And a good one at that. And even Bojack gets profane at times. Being profane doesn't throw out the entire piece of show that has being worked upon. An example of a show that can be related to the post would be Paradise PD on Netflix. It's an unfunny show with only crass jokes and no development.
