You can still do that but they're usually privatized groups

You mean like subreddits? I think some members would still be sensitive to someone using 'gay' as an insult. It's 2020. We've come farther than that.

You still can go join a paramilitary group or do most of the “rough and tough” stuff you used to be able to. Here is a little secret- the people who are actually “rough as tough” enough for that to matter... are usually off doing it. The ones who talk about it.... are usually the ones who couldn’t handle it or are too scared to go do it. So no, having the “balls” to call people “snowflakes” from your office chair through a semi anonymous portal from thousands of miles away doesn’t make you the spiritual successor to John Wayne. The truth is that so many (especially) men now days are clinging to an old school idea of masculinity and toughness for a sense of identity... but most couldn’t meet those standards if they tried. There’s no shame in being a modern man. Trying to be your great grandpa and being too soft for it is sadder than many think being “pc” is.

If you want to embrace some ideals of “old school” “manliness” or “toughness” leave the slurs and such in the past and embrace ideas like being able to be self sufficient, being honorable, being trust worthy, doing right even when right is hard or costs you, things like that. When the “snowflake” crowd can master those aspects we can talk about the rest. But Jr... you aren’t ready for main street let alone the Congo if you lack the self control to not have to run around calling people gay because you can’t think of anything better to say.
