Great, now I know that if I'm stranded somewhere , all I need to fish is an aluminum can, some kind of string and a FRICKIN' PAIR OF PLIERS to cut out the hook shape.

Not necessarily pliers. If you keep your sheet metal sheers handy, they’ll do the trick peachy keen.

ok, say you have pliers or cutters handy, how often do you break the tab off and the circle part stays intact?

Lol. Perhaps it depends on the brand of beverage, or maybe I just have comparatively weak or gentle hands- but I can’t recall ever having the tab break on a drink. Well.... I’ve had the entire tab come off without breaking the drink open- but just personally I’ve never seen a tab break at all.

You literally need none of that... you just need a sharp stick... or... if you wanna do it passively, a woven basket and tides.

@ funkmasterrex ... NO, for it to be considered "fishing" you are required to stab the fish in the face. None of that ... passive detention of Pisces.
