It’s a valid point. It isn’t the “American economy”- fist of all the word they were looking for was “economics” and secondly- it’s more or less the way of most modern economies. Outside of certain economically egalitarian countries with very low wealth disparity- the majority of nations have systems which offer a reverse difficulty curve. Instead of it being like most video games which make it easier to gain levels and reduce the challenge of things like enemies on “lower level” players- most modern countries (and really most in history) make things harder for “lower level players” and decrease the difficulty of things as you gain more.
@cakelover not arguing your sentiment, but the old other places have it worse doesn’t mean we shouldn’t acknowledge and work to create better opportunities for those among us struggling the most.
