all these trump supporters that say "he's your president", or "if you don't support him, it's treason", will that have the same attitude when Biden takes office? or are they just hypocrites also?
Biden may be the lawful and duly elected president. Unless he isn't, but that remains to be seen. It was never the right threatening to leave the nation en mass, we're just going to wait and watch. Come what may.
Liberals riot, conservatives make lists.
Well... “never” and “en mass” need some asterisks. Because Texas has been threatening or considering leaving the union for a looong time- after the civil war. Which would also be an example where many “right” aligned states threatened- and tried to leave the union... and it’s not like there aren’t a significant number of right aligned folks who continue the sentiment “the south shall rise again...” or hold fast to monuments and momentos of succession. And semantics... but a popular right sentiment is to eject states like California from the union (or “empty them” which isn’t TECHINALLY succession- but still had the ends of creating a new nation governed by right values. But I mean- I don’t think “never” applies beyond absolutes usually being false- this one is probably false. And the rest... mmmmm.... questionable.
Lastly- to riots vs lists- that one needs some exploring too. Like- by “lists” do we mean for mass shootings and domestic terrorism as bombings of federal buildings, lists of abortion clinics to Bomb and doctors to kill, and such? Because if “making lists” is implying murder target lists... the language is a little biased when we outright say “rioting” as applied to liberals. It would be more clear and less bias to say: “the left riots and the right starts civil wars and creates murder lists for domestic terror attacks.”
I suppose we can argue that things like the civil war and the Tulsa massacre happened so long ago that we can’t hold that against the modern right- but bombings, Mass shootings, militia actions like soexong the federal building in Oregon- are all recent things. And if we include leftist extremists who want secession and violent revolution, we’d have to include rightist extremists who want a literal holocaust and secession- there are few if any leftist neo nazi groups after all.
Lists of who to vote for, who to vote against, what states are more agreeable to our sensibilities, and what entities have failed to deliver. And perhaps what individuals think us murderers in waiting. But please, go ahead and keep listing the actions of Democrats in American history. Except for the civil war one, we will never be ashamed of going to war to end systemic bondage of an entire race, even though it did mean violating the states' autonomy, exceptions to lesser principles (state's rights) must be made to uphold the greater (liberty and justice).
So I mean- you said some noble stuff I can agree with there. But did you also just try and say that I was listing things Democrats in history did? You... can actually look up if you weren’t old enough at the time to have known the details... Timothy Mcviegh- the Oklahoma City bomber, the one I reffed never up there... was a registered republican- but regardless of party lines- his views were right wing. “Pro life” is a primarily conservative value. It’s held by people of all parties- but is a conservative value. And I swear, we can do this two ways. You can make me take my time to go through and rub your face in every stain on the rug here, in a long draw out post where I list off party and political alignments of mass shooters and abortion bombers... or... you can save us both the trouble and realize the error on what you just said. I leave it to you. But you’re getting better at deflecting and reframing without being overly obvious. You may have a future in politics.
And that last bit is sincere. While I can’t say your fact checking has much improved, you’ve made leaps in your ability to deflect, change subjects when against a wall, and even frame verifiable hogwash as fact to the point if you caught me on a subject I didn’t know as well or better than you, I think you could fool me. You’re getting very good at that. I know that time doesn’t come through in text, but I’m not being sarcastic or anything. Scary good. Like.. ready for the campaign trail good. While I don’t find it noble, personally I find it slimy and the antithesis of intelligent discourse- that’s a marketable skill and useful when one only cares about getting a goal done and not any sort of realities asides the ends.
Just admit he's your president!
Flippin' commies...
