I could be wrong (and often am) but I think this may partially be a commentary on British police's new habit of launching i̶n̶t̶i̶m̶i̶d̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶a̶c̶t̶i̶c̶s̶ ̶ investigations into people who say anything other than "I support literally everything every transgender(/etc) person does."

One fun incident was where they investigated a man for making a tweet. They informed him he hadn't commited a crime, but would have it marked as a "hate incident" on his record. Iirc a judge had to overturn their decision because it was literally not in their right to do any of that

Another fun incident was when an autistic guy asked a trans cop what their gender was. The cop declared it a hate crime and the autistic guy was put under house arrest or something.

I don't fully know how this ties into the child trafficking other than people have been asking why the fuck the police haven't been focusing on THAT rather than trying to police everyone's thoughts

Yeah I heard about that, and the fact that the Scottish aren't rioting harder than the Americans over that is a huge problem. Everyone jokes about "Orwellian societies," like it's some great paranoid exaggeration.

I think people forget that it's only paranoia if there aren't people actively working towards making it happen.
This is why I don't use fingerprint scanners to get into my phone, I don't use the mic to talk to my phone, and why I have guns. If this continues the only people you will have to trust is your neighbours. For anyone wondering you're all my neighbours and there's a room available in my house. If we can't stop governments and corporations doing this then we should all protect each other.
