Yeah totally happen
See when my kid was 4 she looked up from her copy of war and peace and said Mother if dog spelled backwards is God does that mean dogs are godly?
-.-
That is how stupid it sounds when people lie about what their kid says
My kid had a pretty serious vocabulary when he was very young. Different kids have different skills. He regularly surprised people with the words he used and the context in which he was able to use them. My favorite was his ability to use the word “pandemic” in a sentence in about first grade (and this was about a decade ago so not as topical as today).
I can 100% see a small child who doesn’t know wtf the word philosophy is thinking, with no other context for the word than hearing doctor in the sentence and potentially thinking that philosophy sounds similar to some other illnesses that she’s heard on tv or overhear adults speaking of, that the word is the name of a sickness and asking if what they think is true. Kids made assumptions and ask questions basically all day.

When my own daughter was 4 yo she spelled like a 10 yo.
