It was England. England lost the Hundred Years' War to France. Of course, while Jeanne d'Arc wasn't solely responsible for the French victory, she did play a pivotal role.
I'm just confused about your mentioning of italy tbh. But then again I'm not that good with history and in my audio book she only just got burned at the stake, so idk who won/lost ^^'
Oh, that's 'cause the above meme makes fun of Italy for switching sides when they were losing WWII. My comment, while ironic, is intended to point out that while this is true, Italy never lost a hundred-year conflict like England did because a teenage girl (Jeanne d'Arc) got involved. And yes, Jeanne was burned at the stake. But that was after England had already lost.

While we're on the subject, I find interesting that Germany (a power who lost WWII and is still paying off war debts) is doing better economically (4th largest in the world) than the UK (5th largest) who "won" the war.
You might be several centuries old but I'm not lol
(the german one at least, i really don't know about other languages)
I'm listening to all books by Rebecca Gablé one by one, they are so good. And you should definetely start with the first one if you do so.
Maybe I should mention that the book doesn't revolve around Jeanne d'Arc. It's written from the perspective of the British lords and ladies close to the crown during that time.
European history is not my strong point
