No amount of critique of Intersteller can take away from the sheer massive amount of scientifically litterate accuracy it has. That alone makes it a film of legendary status in my book.
Never mind the fact that the characters and the lot they've been cast into is equally compelling.
I said it the last time Intersrellar was discussed here though. If you're a father with a daughter, this movie will destroy you.
The way Nolan purposefully packages simple things as some kind of a mind bending idea is what is pseudo intellectual about the movie. As @smitty said, the film has a story and some decent characters, but that's about it. Inception was the beginning. At least it wasn't that hard to grasp. Let's be honest here, asking your audience to work out mathematic equations to find a proper ending does not equal a great film. Still, it's a good film. The cinematography, music, it was also peak McCoughnaissance. However, it was the beginning of Nolan doing technological expo dump through dialogue and it got SO much worse in Tenet. Inception was better film in my opinion cause it had a great story, some stakes, a mind bending plot that was quite clear, even to a casual movie goer.
I just wish that Nolan would stop making simple things look overcomplicated. He's one of the greatest filmmakers of our time, but man I am tired of watching him make puzzles instead of films.
I secretly hate Tenet; his worst movie BY FAR. The practical stunts are great, but about 2 min into the movie I realized I don't care about anything happening and that feeling never went away. Before the desert part i was like "this movie needs to be over already".. and then they spend 40 minutes in the desert -_-.
Change my mind

That's it, that's the whole movie.
Same goes with Tenet, but times 10.
