Powerful stuff. Can you imagine if people tried to bury or modify historical facts, especially if they're living or have lived through them? That'd terrible, wouldn't?...

I notice that this has been happening forever. I only first noticed it over the "Hands up, don't shoot" lie, but at least that inspired me to look closer at the old lies, and help me to be aware of the new ones.

like the Twin Towers? After 9/11, any movie (ie Spiderman) or tv show was never to be broadcast on national tv again for fear of offending someone
