there will always be demand for doctors because people are constantly getting ill or wounded, even if you cured every currently ill or wounded person there would still be plenty to go around for every doctor
Okay, but that demand can be met by the government (they aren't, obviously), which isn't supposed to die, rather than the individual; who is mortal and can be extorted over a life/death call.
Sometimes I wonder if a Utopia could survive itself. Fighting is primal; to some degree even in a utopia we'd have to find ways to beat the absolute shit out each other on occasion.
