This castle has a cute story attached to it, on top of being impressive!
It's la Motte-Chandeniers, partially burnt in 1932. A man bought it to restore it in 1963 but gave up two years later. It was in ruins and the municipality wanted to demolish it but in 2017, 27910 persons from 115 different countries pitched in to save it. It is now ran by an association that is dealing with restoring it, opening it to the public and communicating about it. There are pictures of the inside here https://mothe-chandeniers.com/ and they're whimsical and beautiful.
