Oh the guy who wrote the article was one of my teachers! Pretty cool guy too. Makes me want to check where this was found, i'm gonna come back to edit.
And of course it didn't happen like this, today we know that dinosaurs were actually facetious creatures who'd sometimes put their shoes on their heads and jump, so that their prints would decorate the ceiling.
Edit: 1.25m long for each print, the cave's in France but they didn't say exactly where (probably to avoid amateur visits and subsequent degradations), and anyways "it’s a wonder they were ever found, as they can be reached only by way of a labyrinth of tight, frequently flooded crawl spaces 100 metres in length."
