We used to catsit (if that's even the right word, we didn't go anywhere but we had him at our place for weeks at a time) this wonderful Maine Coon boy named Charlie who would go absolutely NUTS whenever I was making anything with protein powder. I only ever let him lick the scoop a little bit since I wasn't sure if cats are allowed to eat it but man, he loved it. And the boy was huge. He could stand up on his hind legs and put his front paws on the kitchen counter. Which was mostly cute but especially annoying when I needed to cook something but he kept snooping and screaming for bits of food.
