People act like the government is this separate thing. We are the government. Every solider, every DMV worker, every politician. It's you, or people you know, or people they know. It's easy to blame a faceless organization, but it's not faceless. You wanna change the world, start with the man in the mirror. Source: I work with 3 charities directly, dozen indirectly (give money) and run my own. even if everything else goes to shit and we all fall, I can say I tried to help instead of just bitching on the internet.
