Because they are not anatomically or chemically the same. Which alters their physical and psychological profiles and the way they can both interact with and process the world around them.
Pick-me girls? Way to demean and marginalize an entire population and demographic. Who else are you going to look down on for wanting a life *you* disapprove of that doesn't hurt and actually helps more people?
The suffragettes could be harnessed as clean energy for how they must be spinning in their graves seeing their movement hijacked by people who are actively pushing women out of their places in society, down to their own sports and bathrooms.
Ah, so you're using words you don't know the meanings of either, again.
.
Fair play, I should have assumed as much.
.
I keep setting the bar at toenail level, and then getting surprised when you fail to even knock your head against it
Failure continues to live up to his name. He fails to make a point, and now he fails at personal attacks. What's next, you gonna call me the n-word? It would be about twice as sophisticated and sensible as anything else you've ever typed.
Yea true there's been a surge of tradwife pick-mes lately. Which, y'know, if you wanna be a tradwife I totally support that decision and wish you the best. But don't shove that shit down other people's throats as something women were "created" for or whatever. That's just fundamentally anti-freedom.
Tradwife? Give me a break, it is simple objective fact that women in general are better suited or worse suited for some activities and functions than men in general.
It isn't complementarianism, it's reality. And that's not even the issue at hand, the issue at hand is people like you legislatively pushing the best suited candidates out of certain positions while pushing poorer candidates into those positions, as a matter of policy.
Anti-freedom? Real rich accusation coming from y'all
Ah, the good old "BuT pEoPlE LiKe YoU!!!1!" Lmao. If I had a dollar for every time you've used this "argument" and accused me or @general_failure personally of causing everything that's wrong with the world instead of addressing the topic of the conversation, I'd go out of my way to disagree with you publicly more often because it'd be a hell of a lucrative job.
And just for the record, you're attributing those opinions to me incorrectly. (I'm in shock, it's not like you've done this before... Or every time...) I'm actually against affirmative action, I think the better way is to systemically improve the education system so that people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds have a better chance at success themselves. Pretty sure I've voiced this here a few times actually.
Famous you should know by now that these two are allergic to facts and historical data. Wrestling pigs, mate. But they're in a circle-jerk again, and you don't want to get anywhere near the fluids they're leaking all over each other
As for the "women tend to be better at different things than men" – even if you were able to prove it was nature and not just nurture, it's in no way a green light for society-wide policy or rules whatsoever. Even if 99% of women said they'd want to be housewives, freedom of choice should be preserved, if for that 1% alone.
I'm not advocating to keep women barefoot and pregnant, I'm just not the one trying push men into their sports, shelters, whatever while also trying to push them into infantry or lumber yards
Alright then, show me a study that says that "historical data and facts" prove that women should be assigned to the domestic life. I'll wait.
@famousone Me neither, I'm not trying to push anyone anywhere. I just said they should have freedom of choice.
I never said y'all were bad or mean?
.
Stop putting things in my mouth ffs, only failure likes it when you do that.
.
I said y'all were allergic to facts and produce unpleasant body fluids. And seeing how you managed to twist that concept into something completely unrelated, I'd say I once again can safely rest my case
Oh I also never said women should be forced into domestic life. Neither did the meme.
.
All it and all I've said on this is that there are differences between men and women and the two genders cannot always do everything the other gender can - and nor, necessarily, should we try to pretend they can.
.
Y'all are the ones flipping the biscuit over that concept for some reason.
.
Women are far more than domestic duties, and men are sure as fuck far more than manual labour, and literally no one [but possibly yourselves] implied otherwise lol
I'll try not to use monosyllables this time.
.
Me: "ewqua and failure no like facts."
You: "Xvarnah say me and failure are mean and bad cuz we no think the same"
Me: "not what I say. Stop making things up. Try literacy."
.
Sorry I couldn't avoid a few of them there. But hopefully you can follow this time.
That... women were created to do things? Just as men were? And that some of the things they are capable of doing cannot be done by men? And visa versa?
.
Sorry, I didn't realize you worship at the church of "everyone exists to sit on their ass and for no other purpose"?
I just had to pull a guy out of a burning car, my patience is spent for the day.
I do not give half a goddamn what ewqua or failure choose to hear. I know what I said, and I'll stand by it.
Otherwise, xvarnah seems to be doing a fine job holding y'all to account.
Good day.
Soooo let me get this straight. You believe men and women were created for different purposes but also don't believe in enforcing the following of these different purposes societally? Because that seemed like the obvious logical conclusion of such a belief.
Well hey if you believe that the differences will manifest naturally through equality of opportunity, then we're on the same page.
I believe men and women were created in part with reproduction as a purpose, which is true of literally any surviving species in existence. And surprise surprise men and women don't actually reproduce in the same manner.
.
It's fascinating how having entirely different reproductive anatomy can impact that.
.
But in no way is that their sole reason for existing, nor does it mean either should be limited to that, as you seem to be implying.
.
I got a screwdriver at home. Occasionally I can use the handle to pound a nail into the wall. Doesn't make it a hammer, or the same as a hammer, or as capable of completing a specific task as a hammer, though. And the hammer will never be capable of screwing things into other things either. Doesn't mean the only task a hammer can be used for is putting nails into things.
.
You are so hung up on what you've decided you're insulted about once again.
You came here flinging shit, ewqua. If you were throwing shit at a perspective you agree with, apparently because you can't stand to see *me* or *her* espousing it, that's your malfunction.
I reacted to the post, not the poster. It was clearly and demonstrably you who started with the personal attacks.
In any case, good afternoon, good evening and good night!
Salty about what now? You have offered absolutely nothing to be salty about as usual.
.
You just huff and puff and hope if you do it enough something resembling a logical argument will manifest.
.
And when it inevitably doesn't, you put on your mask of false civility and try and claim the high ground by announcing you're leaving... before continuing to post ad naseum.
.
This last trend often being repeated several times throughout the course of a conversation, and has been repeated across multiple comment chains. Which I can only chalk up to insanely low levels of self-control
.
Say literally anything remotely worthwhile and maybe one day I'll be salty. More likely I will die of shock on the spot, however

As usual, a lot of effort to express how little you care.
Actually that was to say her assessment that I am salty is incorrect, not that I don't care necessarily. And just to get out in front of it, neither is this an admission that I *do* care. Once again your literacy grasp is tenuous at best
.
This is, once again, my bad. I know y'all can't cope with a lot of words all at once. I'll try and be more considerate in the future but hot damn is it hard to use sentences small enough for you to follow
It's interesting that the most homogeneous countries and the countries that have the greatest support for gender equality are seeing the most diversity in gender roles in occupations. There's a great little clip here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iy4vq8RdPGU&ab_channel=JeremyVineon5-OfficialChannel that sort of covers both sides of the argument. Now I am vehemently against equality of outcome, enforced outcome should never occur and is an evil in its own right. This is good example of equality of outcome represented in a story: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harrison_Bergeron. However, I am also vehemently for equality of opportunities. No one should be limited in their opportunities by anything other than effort and merit.
@lucky11 Well said, I fully agree with your assessment. If there truly are differences, they will persist even when there's equality of opportunity. If there aren't, then there's no reason to keep a certain hierarchy. In either case, judging people as individuals and allowing them the same opportunities is the way to go. Also, funsubstance allows posting links now? Omg
In this case you're both right even if you guys generally disagree. That's pretty rare here on FS so I'll take that as a win. As for posting links all you have to do is edit your comment and you can put in the links.
Ah, I see! I tried that but it didn't work on mobile, it gives the same line even when I try to edit the comment. Maybe I'll try switching to desktop. Thank you!
