It would be more interesting if they isolated data based on region. I'd hazard the guess most people against the protest are city dwellers. And the majority against the mandates are primarily rural. Just a guess.
They can't do that. It would damage the narrative, and the narrative is everything.

.
You can watch livestreams. In Ottawa at least the majority of people willing to speak are speaking in favour of the convoys.
.
There has been no violence in Ottawa that I've been able to find - other than someone trying to run a protestor over
.
The mainstream media in Canada is so bias and so fucked that protestors - hell, VETERANS - inside the city, will ask who you're with, and if it's someone like CBS, they will refuse to talk to them. Because they know they won't be represented by them.
.
This is how Canada is run. A few hundred people took a vote and decided the fate of millions.
.
A few hundred people took a poll and decided the narrative of the media.
.
Two corrupt - actual verifiably criminal - leaders of political parties made a decision. And millions of Canadians are now held hostage by their banks and government.
And people cheer it on now - because they disagree with the message of the convoy.
.
Okay, fine.
.
What happens when it's a movement you do agree with, though?
.
What happens if the next Prime Minister decides he really doesn't like the LBTQ parade.
.
Or he's just not that much of a fan of people talking about the residential schools
.
Your child's prescription was laced with fentanyl you say? No. No, you do not. They suggest you think very carefully about whether that REALLY happened or not.
So I just took a poll exclusively with truckers in Ottawa my dudes, and based on that 100% of Canadians are in favour of the convoy staying and mandates dropped
.
Additionally at least 90% think Trudeau should resign.
It's my expectation that they ask a hell of a lot more than 1,200 before touting that they speak for all of Canada.
.
This is the valid opinion of 1,200 people. This is not an accurate picture of all of Canada. Pretending it is is as big of a joke as the man currently playing the part of our Prime Minister
@scatmandingo A valid sample size? 1,200 is the population of some villages around here. So the voice of a village is equal to the voice of a country. Well, looks like we can save some money, boys. Elections only need 1,200 votes. Let's save the feds some money on paying themselves to have an election. I'm sure everyone will be happy about having only 1,200 votes.
I would say that it is true that polls generally are based off a relatively small percentage of a larger group- but that making the statement that Canada wants the truckers gone based off a sample of 1200 people is more than a bit premature. Saying that 75% of people surveyed want the truckers gone would be fair and accurate. Ideally, a sample of people would be surveyed to represent diverse groups and backgrounds and locations etc- but we only have a single data point on the participants by demographic and don’t know if that is self reported or based on what exactly. We lack the information on the study itself to even guess at validity.
So while 1200 people could be used for such a study, declaring the study reflects the population or even failing to note that it is INDICATED or SUGGESTED vs. it is a fact are both misleading.
