I get where it's inconvenient for people that haven't upgraded and it's also inconvenient for people that flat out prefer wired headphones, which I suppose you could look at as a niche market. But there's a certain point you need to let go of the cassette, vhs, eight track, or horse pulled carriage of your choice and maybe just join in. The first Bluetooth headphones came out almost twenty years ago, it's really not like this just happened suddenly.
No one's forcing it on them, anyway I'm sure wired earphones still exist. I still have a few spare that I can use if my Bluetooth ones aren't charged enough.
Recent phones tend not to have a headphone jack, and having to charge batteries and deal with potential connection issues easily makes any argument against bluetooth headphones/earbuds compelling.
Also "you should just join in" is a brain-dead argument.
It's not like I told someone who to vote for, but there's a point where if you don't "join in" then the world just leaves you completely behind. I wasn't joking about the horse pulled carriage thing, when cars first came out the vast majority of the population said it wouldn't catch on and horses would always be more convenient. Now, outside of a few places, you absolutely can't ride a horse anywhere. If you like older things that's fine, but it's like trying to sign up for something without using the internet, I have to do everything for my parents because you don't have other options in most cases these days. My mother is starting to learn and get caught up but my father has absolutely been left behind in the world and without someone else's help, can't function in today's society. So, while the concept may be "brain dead" to you, getting on the Bluetooth bandwagon isn't going to remain something you can keep putting off forever unless you want to stay attached to jitterbug phones
Being forced to "join in" to things that suck is probably a decent reason to be angry about something.
Also "join in" itself is still braindead, but actually expanding on the idea like you did is not, just to clear. I still don't agree, though.
