Yeah the knife would have to be dropped a higher position to stab him.

Yeah, but even at terminal velocity, the knife might land at an angle, or – depending on the weight and sharpness – still bounce. They should have held a solid-steel dart, complete with tail fins, twenty meters above his exposed back; that is trust.

i just bought a six shot revolver nerf gun for work, my son took the first one, i don't think they'll trust me there

I would guess..... The lack of anything is representing the vunerability of the person, and vunerability is the thing you don`t want a real friend to take advantage of.
