It was the opposite for me. I knew they didn't die in real life so whenever I got upset that a character died, I would just quietly chant to myself, "They're not really dead, they're not really dead, they're not really dead . . . " It always helped.

When I was a kid whenever I saw people eating food I couldn't figure out how they were eating it because I thought all the food was fake so it confused me like crazy
