Kids would somehow "swallow" the container or the toy inside and choke. I don't know how that's possible because it doesn't look or feel like food at all.
Ok, this may be unpopular but I know that I can't be the only one. I grew up back in the 70's. When seat belts were optional. Long before warning labels were plastered on every item we come into contact with. Back when TV sets that outweighed the family car were often perched precariously on a flimsy TV tray while small children played right next to it. I grew up being taught that bumping your head on a daily basis was the best life lesson ever. Instead of handing out Ritalin, they simply said things like, "If you fall out of that tree and break both of your legs, don't come running to me!" My point is, warning labels hinder the natural selection process, and we end up with people who didn't fair well in the brains department. As such, they need to be told in writing not to use that hair dryer while in a tub full of water. An entire country should not do without something because of a few morons. Just saying.
that's true but people have died from getting eaten by sharks. anything is a weapon and banning guns isn't going to teach children responsibility and safety.
I believe in gun rights fully, but consider this. When the constitution was written, throughout the USA, witchcraft was considered fact. They also believed in white male supremacy. AND, the constitution can be changed anytime, so in turn owning a gun is not a solid RIGHT, rather a PRIVILEGE that was written with a quill 250 years ago.
Try again. It is indeed a right. How does a shift in scientific or social view alter the validity of a law? It doesn't. The constitution cannot be changed at any time, It can only be changed with a 2/3 majority in either both houses of congress or nationwide state convention. The fact that it was written in ink from a quill does not alter the validity either. If you drop the empty preemption, and had a better grasp on government, people might take you seriously. Try to learn something from somewhere other than Mainstream media (all the major corporations have horrid track records for making things up, lying outright (remember the "MIT shooting" story?) and never apologizing for placing speed over accuracy.
But if you did, then you'd likely have a much different tune.
anything really can be used as a weapon and we can't really bubble wrap the world so it's best to let everyone learn how to handle things like that safely so that when the zombie apocalypse comes we can all be prepared.
It was put in the Bill of Rights because of the day the famous quote came "The british are coming" The british were coming to collect the colonies guns and kill two very important revolusionist (I forget who, my apoligies) and so, when the founding fathers wrote the 2nd Amendment, it was to protect the peoples rights of safety in their homes, and in way, basically giving the people a way to over throw the government if it became to power crazed. Hope that answered you, or maybe I was just bumbling random stuff. Oh well.
I love kinder surprise eggs, and I used to get them all the time shipped from my uncle in Germany. Now I can't! But I still have lots of toys from the inside, I hope the police don't find out and arrest me!
Okay, if you don't mind my asking, what are Kinders? I've lived in America my entire life and I don't have any relatives outside the country anymore. I just know what they're called from the internet, and from cookiejar's comment it looks like they're eggs with little toys inside?
I've never seen one either but I kind of get the gist of what they are. Aren't they made by the same people who make Nutella? That means that they must be good and that I have to try one.
They're wonderful! They're called Kinder Surprise and its an egg with milk chocolate on the outside and white chocolate on the inside! Once you crack open the egg there is a little plastic egg that you open and inside is a surprise! Sometimes it is a toy you make yourself, sometimes it's a little collectable statue!
Here it is in one easy to copy and paste montage of what a Kinder Egg is and why they are banned in the US; Kinder Eggs or Kinder Surprise are chocolate eggs that originated in 1962 in Argentina but are now manufactured by Italian company Ferrero worldwide. The chocolate eggs contain a further yellow plastic container inside which have inside them a random toy which has to be assembled using the instructions (my favorites as a kid were a little biplane and a car that had a fly wheel inside so that it kept going and going and going after it was pushed). They are labelled as suitable for children who are 3 years plus because they contain small parts which are a choking hazard. They are banned in the US because of (1) the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act of 1938. This Act prohibits the embedding of non-food items completely enclosed inside food items and (2) the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) who claim that the toys are a choking hazard for small children. So there you go.
i found out about these in ecuador and bought tons of them back home and gave to evry1 to try cause they were amazing!!... i had no idea they were illegal... o.o
If you don't want to know the truth, then don't read my comment.
The truth is easy and simple. There are people who kill each other, because we can not live on the same planet. We laugh at each others for having a fucking opinion. We let other people do evil, because we are not brave enough, not bold enough to take action. I will not give a "we are perfect/ you are perfect" speech, I will tell it as it is. We will never be able to unite as humans as long as we are afraid of something that isn't really there, there is nothing that is holding you back, so go out and greet the day with joy. Be nice to the people you meet. As Ghandi said "be the change you wanna see in this world.."
If only. Unfortunately science has strong evidence to say that violence is hard coded into our genes. Those that lacked it (like bonobos) were likely unable to survive.
BUT humanity may change. Our jaws were once large enough to contain wisdom teeth nearly universally. Those who couldn't got infections and died. Once we figured out dentistry, those that had smaller jaws stayed in the gene pool. Babies are being born now without wisdom teeth at all. So perhaps violence shall genetically abate with time.
Until then, Mine shall help keep those important to me safe from those who are malignant.
It really bothers me when people say America but they only mean the us. Im argentinian and American as well if you don't believe me check a map and please stop talking like America is only the us. Oh and forgive me if i made any grammar mistake i barely speak English. Have a nice day
So, in America, people have the right to bear arms, and use guns as a protection/ defending method. And people have guns so that if another has a gun they feel safe. It's just so ridicules. Like, someone might shoot at me with their gun so I need a gun, and my child isn't safe so they can have a gun.
A BLOODY KINDER EGG IS MORE FUCKING SAFE THAN A GUN WILL EVER BE.
A parent is much more likely to just give a kinder egg to a small child and leave them unsupervised, especially if they don't know what it is and that it has a small toy inside. As to your gun logic, yes because there definitely aren't shootings in "safe" gun controlled countries, right? And nobody ever kills anybody with something OTHER than a gun, right? And if guns were banned, criminals would all listen and give up their guns too, right? Definitely wouldn't just be taking guns out of the honest citizens, thats for sure.
As much as I would love to agree with you, even I have thought about joining our military but every time I look at our government I wonder if its really something I would like to fight for and use to represent myself. That being said, I think the population needs a way to have their own protection but there definitely needs to be more strict laws.
Everyone here in my town has at least one gun in the house. Crime isn't common here but people have them just in case. Also, people use them to kill rattlesnakes if the rattlesnakes come close to the house. If coyotes or javelinas or anything like that come up close to the houses than we use guns to scare them off. We don't absolutely need guns but I really think it's ridiculous to ban them. Obviously you should have a license to have them but to ban them all together is just ridiculous. If we ban them it's not going to stop crime. Criminals will just illegally use guns or find some other weapon to use.
EXACTLY. Its just like the drug issue. Has banning pot stopped people from smoking it? Hell no. All banning guns will do is create another blackmarket.
Yes. I assume that your government is a lot better at governmenting things. Your country's low crime rate can't just rest on the fact that you banned guns.
But if you did, then you'd likely have a much different tune.
