@guest1. I'm also embarassed, she is such an idiot. @guest2 I hope you're not coming too South-Africa. We have things under control here, tho I do admire what you are doing. ;)
I went to South Africa as a missionary a couple years back. When I entered the country, the first thing the gate agent said to me was "we need you very badly". I guess not everyone agrees, balonyman. :P
Depends. As a missionary, sticking to the white neighborhoods usually meant you'd go all day long and nobody would ever let you in. The blacks were a lot more hospitable. And the coloreds seemed to be the most open-minded. Honestly I think all three of those groups could use some help, but that's a generalization anyway. And everyone everywhere has flaws, so nobody can really judge anyway.
I think it's a lot easier for an outsider to recognize the imperfections of a society anyway, so don't think I'm being super-critical. I love South Africa, and there's a lot of good people I met, in all three of those demographics.
I'm kinda ashamed of being American because of people like this.. They know absolutely nothing about their country, and they talk about it like they do, and act like they're superior to others..
It's actually stupid to think that Christians are somehow immune from stupidity. Including the stupidity of posting your stupidity on the internet for all to see. Not necessarily talking about this, though. I still think it's someone trying to troll.
Oh jeez... "America" is not a continent. It is a country. In the US constitution, there is "Freedom of Religion". The people in Africa are doing a lot more to survive than this person, and can likely use better grammar. There is just so much ignorance in this post....
Oh jeez... "America" IS a continent. You get South-and North-America. The US of A is a country. Idk why but this REALLY frustrates me, even in my own language they say Amerika instead of VS van A. I just want to put that person into a comma !!
On the note of people being ashamed of being American. I think you shouldn't be at all. America is a beautiful country and I always meet a lot of great people when I visit. But, on the other hand, since there are 300 miljon of you guys, there will be a couple of idiots. So what is up with "religious freedom"? And trying to get e.g. restaurant owners to be able to refuse to serve gay people? For real?
Sure have your religion, by all means do. But come on, don't take it to a state level. Don't try to make laws based on what is written in a 2000 year old part manual for how to live and part fantasy.
I'm going to apologize on behalf of my country. I know you guys hate us, but imagine how much is sucks for us good Americans when, guess what we have to deal with the most? STUPID FAT AMERICANS EVERYWHERE GIVING US A TERRIBLE IMAGE. Again, I'm sorry on behalf of America.

I know. Not all of us are stupid and fat wtf I wish that the rest of the world would realize that. It's not the minority`s fault that the majority is fat and lazy and greedy.
And let's not forget that sweet native poontang.
Try to intercept the inevitable worthview-crushing history lesson with a joke? That's a downthumbin'.
Maybe this'll help. http://youtu.be/LqpGiwNtMvY I love this scene.

EDIT: ah thank you sarcasm
