Can I just put it out there that I am absolutely perplexed as to how on Earth America can justify having a day to celebrate their "winning" of the war of 1812. If you guys had won, we'd be America.
Btw I live in Nunavut so if you want to hate then just send up some mail via seal or polar bear
Ok two things, you arent wrong. If we had won to the scale that we were aiming to win we would have you as part of America. But we see it more as ending in sort of a half winning. We still had gains. Now number two, im not sure the maker of this realizes that the war was fought against Canada. It was against the british for your land. We gained more than we lost so we considered it a win. On the other hand, i agree with basically everything else on this page. Canada's awesome but tbh i would never want to live there.
You do realize that there is not a day where we celebrate the winning of the war of 1812....I think you are thinking about July 4th...when we won independence...in 1776.
P.s. Canada sucks.
What you are saying is entirely irrelevant to the point made about not celebrating the war of 1812. Also it was the United Kingdom that did these things. Canada wasn't even a country because you were unable to get independence until decades later. There is a big difference between the UK doing something with all their power and wealth of the time and Canada doing something regardless if some of the soldiers lived in the same place where Canada is today...
I tried to turn right on red in Montreal. A woman came running, across 5 lanes of traffic, banged on my window, and spit on me. She shouted "Stupid American's can't stop at a red light" kicked my car and walked off. That was my last trip to Canada.
That's pretty awful, but please bear in mind that Quebec is basically the stinking butthole of Canada. There are a lot of people here who don't like English speakers (especially Americans), Jewish and Muslim people, and basically anyone who isn't a white catholic francophone whose ancestors have lived here for centuries. But they are the minority in Quebec, and they certainly don't represent the average Canadian.
And to be fair, turning right on red is actually illegal on the island of Montreal.
Seriously that's offensive for people living in quebec. Majority of people in Montréal are from other coutries and you could have used something esle to describe Québec than : stinking butthole of Canada, that is really offensive. People like you just decribed are found in every countries. Sorry for my englis.
The U.S. doesn't protect Canada because we're your friends, or we like you, although we are and do like you, we help to keep you safe because all of the fallout from a nuclear strike would hit the more popular farming and cattle states in the U.S. We love our steak, bacon, and cheese, so we won't risk losing such things! EH?!
Going to guess mon ami is French? for friend?
If so, you could easily interpret it either way and it could be correct.
"We got this, friend" meaning the poster is responding to each person that reads it individually.
"We got this, friends" meaning the poster is responding to America as a whole.
"Bitch slapped the US in the war of 1812" That war was about preventing Britain from re-conquering the US. Once that was accomplished, it didn't try to expand by attacking its northern neighbor...that equates to "bitch slapped?" Plus, Canada treated ITS Natives the same way that we criticize the US for doing. But, I guess that one can brag with impunity to those who don't know anything.
mahneh you suck most of this stuff isnt true everybody who thinks this is true you can all go fuck yourself weird basterds i hate when stuff like this gets posted it isnt fucking true amd america is just as bad and good as canada
And lousy drivers in traffic. I have a picture that is too large to post of a BMW SUV parked across three handicap parking spots at a Tim Horton's, Ontario tags. Some are terribly rude drunks at sporting events. How come nobody believes me that they are no better than US citizens?
Because of their stereotype versus our stereotype. I have a Canadian in my class and he has to bring Canada into literally every conversation, even if it's not related at all. We went to Canada and they didn't seem much different than Americans, hell, I've never been followed in American stores because they thought I would steal something, but they followed me around in Canada. -__-

P.S. we burnt down the White House lol

So sorry.
