i'm glad to say that i say eight of these correctly. i'm from Miami and "irregardless" slips out every once in a while. but i absolutely HATE when people say "for all intensive purposes"! that doesn't even make sense!
It's supposed to be a rhetorical question. Picture an old man with a Yiddish accent shrugging and saying "Oy! I could care less?" THAT'S how you say it.
Man y'all would hate living in the south! I'm pretty sure I've said all of these and if not I've at least heard all of 'em in the past month. I mean I get hating these when they're written but if you understand someone what's the problem?
It's not intentional. It's just like "ant" vs "auuunt" you can understand either one, right? Maybe y'all should get off your high horses, 'cause the only thing tearing down society is your bullshit attitude that you're better than someone who messed up a saying
I work with people who during meetings and while conducting business over the phone use one speech pattern and then revert to intentional bullshit at other times. Tell me you've never met the type.
I couldn't care less about psuedo-grammar Nazis.
