Yeah when Earth blows up then it'll only take billions maybe trillions of years to float to a different galaxy. Unless you get picked up by aliens. Hell they might even be extra dimensional beings. That would be kickass given they didn't eat your skin.
But if you lived forever you would have to see the people you love the most die over and over again. You would outlive everyone and they can't come back
I wouldn't float to a new galaxy- I'd pilot. Even now we have space crossing devices, imagine those in 40 years. 50. 60 even. I'd discover new things, help out others in the galaxy, and when done with that, move to the next one. I wouldn't stay long enough to form attachments, I'm more of a loner anyways. That's heaven for me.
And, of course, I get to watch everything in Netflix undisturbed.
Bonus.
immortality, but am I gonna be young forever? or I just gonna get old really slow? I wanna be young forever. but on the other hand, It's must be hard to watch the people you love die, one by one.
that is not what immortality is
to be immortal means you will live forever no matter what happens. To never die or end.
example of immortality: god is immortal.
i think you dont really understand what being immortal is.
P.s. if this sounds mean sorry i did not mean to sound mean
I'm thinking either immortality or recursion. Of course I'd have to stay young forever if I'm also immortal. I don't want the same mess I saw in The Brothers Grimm movie...
.
How cool would it be to keep reinventing your life and yourself again and again? Both options would allow me to do that :)
Heaven sounds nice. Immortality woulnd't make much of a difference, I'd have to live through wars and my loved ones dying. Fuck that, I want heaven. Eternal bliss? Yes please
The problem with these powers is that they're selfish powers. They only "benefit" you directly (people could use an immortal-you as a meat shield I suppose...).
I'd much rather have a healing power of some sort...
Every of them sounds nice except Oblivion. I wouldn't pick Recursion because if you remember your memories you would probably have sad moments when you remember your past life. Maybe Reincarnation or Heaven.
Recursion or limbo.
With recursion, I could keep this livelihood since I'm in a pleasant spot, but I could either fix mistakes or try things I've never wanted because I was too worried they wouldn't work out.
With limbo, I can troll forever.
