There was no money, his friend asked him to shoot him so he could see what it was like. Besides, even if you make bail you still have to return to stand trial.
Are they allowed to press charges? Who would benefit from charges pressed? The party who shot and the party that was shot both (presumably) chalked it up to friendly idiocy and forgave each other. The worst that could happen is the medical bills right?
The government would be the one pressing charges because every crime has a social effect even if the victim forgive, the government will not. This is a good law by the way.
Because I don't care enough about money to hurt someone. Also lots of people said they would pay the medical bill.. but if it doesn't heal the way it should have there's more than just one medical bill. And the person may not be able to do certain stuff anymore. The boyfriend of my mom had an accident thirty years ago involving his leg. Because it didn't heal properly (and to be honest, some of the doctors messed it up) he still can't drive a bycicle, skiing. He can't even walk at a fast pace. And about the money: I wouldn't even know what to do with all that money. And you hear a lot of stories about people that won the lottery and they end up more broke than before because they couldn't handle it. Those are some of the reasons as of why I wouldn't do it
I would, my bestfriend would know that it was for ten million dollars and that it is totally worth it, and whats a friend if you dont trust him to shoot you so he doesnt hit any major arteries and kill you.
After though, I would give at least a quarter of it to the friend
You two are breaking my heart
*BANG* "Oops, I missed."
