I'd rather trust science with evidence than an old wives tale without one.
But I do believe that anything could be wrong. Gravity could be us being pushed rather than pulled. Faeries could be in charge of technology.
Please explain then why any cluster of matter can form at all if gravity is a repulsive force. I'm 1000% certain gravity pulls things together, otherwise no planet, nor any living being could exist. If you had anything to back up the possibility that all technology is controlled by fairies I would gladly consider it. Evidence is collected based on what we observe. Fact is based on evidence.
I was listing odd examples.
My point simply was that evidence doesn't equal proof as lack of evidence doesn't equal false.
Someone could find your jacket at a murder scene, does that mean it was you?
This make sense because a fact just is. It exists, it doesn't support or deny anything. A good example would be, Fact : the earth is a planet. Notice, nothing in that sentence can lead to any conclusion of how it came to be or how old it is. Nothing about that fact leads you anywhere but that the earth is a planet. Evidence on the other hand can be made up of facts but also holds supposition. Science compiles facts and uses a hypothesis to lead itself, to make tests, to try and see if something works the way they think it does.
It also used to be scientific fact that a woman couldn't be raped, because if she didn't get pregnant she was obviously lying and babies could only be had if the woman orgasmed which meant she enjoyed it so it wasn't rape.
