I get the feeling that people think that this is some random Christian guy, No, he is the pope, the leader of Catholicism, the representation of jesus on earth (or something like that), the king of the vatican city. Just saying
I really like this Pope.
All the others have been unaware of the importance of their position, as a spirirual leader, and how much guidance his following, and indeed people beyond faith actually appreciate someone in power voicing that awareness.
Although, if he could do the "help the homeless" stuff without a massive gold throne, surrounded by other shiny things, it would make things easier to agree with...
But the church has no direct income and relies on donations and while you might argue about Vatican city bring hella rich I must remind you that there are other churches all around the world which barely have any money. and church donarions help people that give it to charites. I agree there has been some embezzlement cases but some churches really do help people. And it's not only the church but also every religious insitiution which is not taxed. And some of these institues are not as rich as the church so they would seriously struggle to pay taxes
My brother passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last Thursday. I needed to hear this because he was catholic but not practicing. I need to believe that there is life after this or I will probably fall into a deep depression. I hope no one experiences the pain that I am going through. If you have; I would like to hear from you because I'm hurting so badly
My grandpa set himself on fire in his front yard one day while I was over. He was schizophrenic. I loved him very much, but believe me when I say time heals you. A very good friend of mine killed himself in 2012. I loved him very much, but time healed me. My uncle drank himself to death and passed from liver failure last year. I loved him very much. But time is healing me. I know its so incredibly hard right now. I know it feels like there's a boulder on your chest and your insides are tearing themselves apart. But I PROMISE you, it won't feel that way forever, time is a beautiful blessing and truly does his job. The scars will always be there, but if you allow time pass, it will stop bleeding. I will suggest seeking therapy so that you can be guided through this process, many places give a free first session and non-profits tailor their prices to your budget and situation. If you need anything else, please email me at [email protected]
I'm so sorry for your loss
Know what helps me? Think about what their heaven is like. Think of what they enjoy. Combine it all into a place and imagine them in it, nice and happy. Makes you feel much better.
You obviously don't understand the hierarchy and family tree of Christianity. The Pope is the leader of the largest unified sect of Christianity, Catholicism.
So he's not Christian because he speaks truth? How typical hypocrite of you guest. Let me guess you're Christian to, or as I call them hypochristan since they preach 'peace and love' but judge the living hell out of everybody even when their own beliefs say that 'only god reserves the right to judge'
That's not truth.
i'm so sorry you have this outlook on Christians, not everyone is like that. But I'm not judging him, I'm calling him it for not speaking the truth- just as I would call anyone else out who is not using the bible correctly and making their own agenda out of it. As people who are Christians, we have to stand together and correct one another, keep each other accountable -that's part of the code. This man says he comes in the name of God but his actions do not prove that. To us, the rest of the Christ followers, that's fraud. He's not preaching the gospel, he's not sharing Jesus, he's suiting his own teachings, raising himself above the God he's supposed to be serving. He can teach whatever he wants, as long as he doesn't say he's a Christian or that "it's what God wants." Same with the Westboro people who by the way are NOT Baptist, no where near being Christian, and whom most certainly DO NOT come in the name of God.
false teaching: 2 Timothy 4:3-4
JudgMatthew 7:1-5
Guest, please do not compare Catholicism to the Westboro Baptists. And why must we keep one another accountable for our faith? We are not supposed to judge eachother based on our sins. That is God's right alone.
This man, the pope, *is* preaching the word of god, but is preaching it in the modern world, rather than the world it dominated centuries ago.
This man has shown that tradition can change, and does. That's how many cultures are, and how christianity and catholicism needs to be, otherwise it will die out.
