I gave up everything for a simple life in the woods. Okay, not everything...I clearly still have my phone. But we got a piece of property outside of town and we're living in tents while we work on the property and build a house.

No, I need civilization and wifi, also I'm a very punctual man, meaning I absolutely must be early for everything, so the daily commute to work would be a nightmare.

As long as it had reasonably fast internet and I didn't have to work, yes.

There is no such thing as a, "simple life" whether you live in the woods or a big city.

But that's wrong. Strip away complicated parts and it becomes simpler.

My life is pretty simple, I get up at the same time everyday, do everything that needs done to keep my farm running and go back to sleep, of course I make room for meals and a shower in that time frame, occasionally I may go to the store or play a game on my phone.

Schedule doesn't mean anything. We all still have feelings, thoughts, passions, and temptation. The notion that a boring schedule and no social life meaning, "simple", is correct on only a tiny portion of life.

I prefer no social life, humans annoy me.

I disagree that feelings, thoughts, etc. are complicated. Maybe as a teen or even in my twenties, it would seem that way. As you get older and sort out your beliefs and responses and learn to be honest with others, yet accept them as they are...life really can be pretty simple.

I can accept just about anybody though there are exceptions to that. I'm 33 soon to be 34 I grew up with and around very intolerant people and tired of that very quickly, so I adopted the stance of 'you respect me and my choices, I respect yours' I also believe that if you can help others you should, my annoyance with the human race stems from how greedy and selfish people are becoming.

You can't really abide by both "live and let live" and "if you have the ability to help you have the responsibility to help" at the same time. They're a little bit contradictory.

How so? I don't judge people by sexuality or beliefs I feel that is their business and no concern of mine and I'll help anyone who asks me or I feel needs help. Its not difficult to be a decent person. When a neighbors house caught fire I helped them rebuild, even donating money for them to buy replacement clothes.

The "let live" part means other people's business is not your business. You can still choose to help people, but you can't feel obligated to, and you also can't expect other people to feel obligated to.

that's a bloody villa, so not really a 'simple' life, eh?

Agree with those who posted that a home this large is not the SIMPLE life... Simple is maybe living in 400 Sq. Ft.
