I'm an emt and I went on a call once where a guy was shocked as he was clipping his tree. Snapped his humerous and his bicep detached from his shoulder.

That's why US house current is so dangerous. 110 volts usually isn't enough to throw you off of it. You just sit there and cook.

What matters most (in terms of danger) is WHERE the current is applied. A few milli-amps applied across the heart will stop it.
