I really don't know why everyone hates it

I used to love broccoli until I was dared to eat it raw and overgrown, straight from the garden. Tasted like dirt and misery.

oh man i too love broccoli. especially when you pair it up with cheese or basically anything

Fry sliced fresh garlic and some butter in a saucepan (until the garlic is brown but not burned), and boil your broccoli it to soften it slightly. Drain the broc and throw it in with the garlic and butter. You'll die of mouth pleasure but it's worth it.

Barely heated broccoli is exactly how mickymouse describes it. illjusthavewater describes one good way of cooking it. I personally do something similar; I sautee it in crushed garlic and olive oil and use my sister as a guinea pig to tell me when it's done cooking.

It's just one of those tropes that happens to be in every kids show. I don't know why.

We hate it because it tastes bad, what the fuck do you think? It's not like we disagree with with it's political position or something.
