Here's an interesting thought:
In the book of Revelation 22-18,19, it warns to not add, remove or change this book, lest you are denied entry to the eternal kingdom...
.
So which translation is the right one?
Which translation is the one that is unchanged?
None of these are the unchanged one, the bible is made up of a mix of books written in aramaic, hebrew, greek and many others. It's been translated so many times since then that a lot of meaning was lost too.
Partially true. Yes, it has been changed to keep up with current forms of punctuation and spelling. But, The New King James Version is pretty much the same since Constantine had it translated into English when he became the first Roman emperor to convert to Christianity. There are other translations into modern day English to make it easier to read and understand. The meaning and message definitely hasn't been lost though.
I didn't mean the overall meaning, I just meant some words and phrases (but some of these have a big effect like Jesus may have been born to a maiden in a guest room, not a virgin in a stable). Obviously it's hard to tell though. And nevertheless, translating into english still changes it, along with the translations before that. Also, I'm being annoying but wouldn't Constantine translate it into Latin? I thought that translating it to English came much later
Actually the last one is in Old English and was spoken up to 1150 and had a very large Germanic vocabulary which makes it look nothing like today's English. It is what Beoweulf (did I spell that right?) was originally written in and many other very very very old works of literature and the bible, when they started writing the bible in vernacular instead of just Latin. I have had to learn the Our Father in Old English and speaking it sounds a lot like grunting with all the different sounds and characters put together, which makes it tough for modern day English speakers to read and speak.
Actually, this post does show that these particular words have been passed by translation from one thing to another. And it used Biblical passages to show that shiat changes. But maybe I missed the portion that you are annoyed about.
Anytime something is translated there is a high chance of mistakes, especially if you are trying to translate something to a language that has no concept of the subject, like trying to explain a computer to someone from an amazonian tribe for example. (Albeit a weak example but you get my point.)

that sounds painful.
