Since it's not specific, it doesn't say how old the man is, so he might be 95 and close to passing away. So a million for maybe two years of having everything spoiled isn't bad. Also you could hire somebody to take him and put him in another country or something.
ABSOLUTELY NOT I mean by yourself living a pretty decent life a million dollars would only last about 10 or so years anyway, the whole spoil thing would last your life

Why do people care so much about spoilers in America? I swear most other countries just care about the ending, if anything spoilers make me curious and want to watch or play a game/movie even more cuz I wanna know how it happens
There's a difference if it's the first time watching it and rewatching it. Imagine if you were really into a game and then someone is like " this person dies, that person becomes king, tyrannical rule, blah blah blah " and now you can't even play because you don't get to have the experience of finding it out yourself.
