Ok but seriously once I was eating a poptart in my first class at like 7:30 am and my teacher yelled at me and then this guy walks in late holding a pizza box and just starts eating the whole thing and the teacher didn't say anything
Well, don't blame the teacher, they may not be doing it because they don't want you eating in class, they may be doing it, because the higher-ups say so.
But the guy with the pizza didn't get in trouble at all bc he's on the basketball team but I the "weird, antisocial emo girl sitting in the back of the class trying to eat breakfast while working on her art project" gets yelled at

I hate when teachers always take weeks to grade papers just because some irresponsible students keep skipping school and missing their tests so we all have to wait until everyone gets their tests in to get back out grade >:(
Yeah loads of my teachers take ages to correct my tests and assignments.I still haven't gotten back around eight test and three assignments handed out at the START of this year. And what annoys me most is that if we don't do one piece of homework that they are probably never gonna correct anyway then we are "lazy" and "wasting their time" but if they take around three months to correct a test it's because "they are very busy" and "just can't find the time".
My sister had to get on the bus at 5:45 her senior year so she brought coffee with her. When the bus driver found out she kicked my sister off the bus. My sister brought it up with the principal who was like that's too damn early to not have coffee, you win. Sometimes the teachers (or bus drivers) are just too controlling and it has nothing to do with the people above them.
Nope, not illegal in itself, but there are things like employers not being allowed to prevent reasonable access, and conversely it actually being illegal to use the bathroom on a plane if the seat-belt sign is on.
Well if it's in the workplace, maybe, otherwise, no. Do you actually want to be able to sue or something because your teacher threatened to give you detention if you left the classroom?
As a fellow human, I suggest you evaluate the conditions of the school (time of starting, reasonable time of waking up, general behavior of the person, and how messy the food is among other things. Don't be a hardass who unreasonably imposes rules because it jives with you wrong, take the student's [whatever] into consideration.

It's not anyone else's responsibility to compensate for the fact that you've overloaded yourself. If you can't hack it that's on you.

The attitude that worships meaningless rules is exactly what's making kids hate school. Personally, I love learning new things, I really do. However, if the method of learning is to sit in a classroom hungry, needing to go to the toilet and uncomfortable (honestly school chairs and desks suck), then I'm subconsciously going to associate school with these bad feelings. My former classmate moved and so she obviously had to change schools, and their method of teaching is awesome. The students need to do a lot more work, however the attitude could be described as "as long as you do all the work, we don't care if you even go to school", rather than "even if the schedule consisted of PE and music, you must be here every day".
Imagine being a teacher. The higher ups tell you to teach like this or that and enforce these rules. Test grades of your students are how you are graded on your performance. You get paid crap in a job where people cuss you out. The parents call you demanding why sweet Susie doesn't have a passing grade. Plus the teacher is probably just as hungry as you are.
Honestly, I think you should be permitted to eat during class as long as what your eating isn't overly noisy, doesn't give off a strong smell and you don't leave a mess.
I don't mind my students eating heck I WANT them to eat so I could eat too...but what I do mind is this little fucker disrespecting his/her teacher because they're grading papers for a month? you know how many students a teacher handles? how many hours we work even after school hours? we grade every fucking students in the bloody fucking school, and aside from that we are expected to re-evaluate your performance for a year ( that's for every damn students). So a little bit of respect to your underpaid teacher would be appreciated, lil satan.
I feel you teachers should get papers back sooner
like I've got a few good teachers that will grade a test and you can see them in like an hour for your resuult and then I've got others who take like two weeks
Gee, all these whiny posts- I take it that all oft you are pupils and don' t know any better. AS a teacher in training all I have to say is that for every lesson you give you have to work one, if not two hours at home to prepare and evaluate your lesson. I love the job, but yeah, it's f...ing hard work, so if it takes two weeks to grade your tests, that's just too bad, because I probably have another 100 test Form other courses waiting in my desk.smh
Thanks for being a good teacher that actually prepares decent lessons. Looking at you, Mrs Ireland, that just reads the one page horrible book explanation too quickly to understand, assigns us homework then sits at her desk the whole class doing whatever...
my bladder is saying yes
my teacher's saying no
