I really hope Fin turns out to be a Jedi too, I mean, the fact he was able to hold his own vs Kylo... When he should have died in 3 seconds flat, not only did he give enough time for Rey to get back into the fight, HE DIDN'T DIE. (Referring to the part were Fin dueled Kylo with a lightsaber)

Kylo was wounded badly by Chewy's Bowcaster. And Finn only held his own for a moment or two.
Most people would be killed by the Bowcaster. It made stormtroopers fly through the air. The fact that Kylo was able to stand at all, let alone fight a trained stormtrooper and a blossoming Jedi is extremely impressive.
Well considering where Finn got sliced by Kylo's lightsaber, if he wakes up he's probably going to be paralyzed from the waist down AT LEAST. Maybe the loss of his legs will make it so that he has to figure out a new way fight, so he begins to study the ways of the Force.
Don't forget that Kylo hadn't really had any real fights against other Jedi and most of the dirty work was done by his stormtroopers anyway. So, a life threatening situation such as fighting Finn would have never have happened during his training or his unchallenged rule.
But the point is I'm pretty sure he never completed his training and after all it was just training, there was no real fighting involved. - It is also a possibility that Finn had experienced using the weapon that TR-8R had (as they were part of the same 4 man squad), this isn't too different from the lightsaber so could give him an advantage over Kylo Ren.
It's Finn - And the main reason is probably just to make the film more interesting. Aside from that, Kylo is shown to act more out of anger than logic, so in his wounded, fustrated state he is unlikely to analyse his different options, instead just going hand to hand due to the adrenaline.
Straight up though that was badass. My favorite part is either when Rey is piloting the Falcon against the TIE fighters on Jakku or when Finn is fighting on the ground while Poe dogfights with the TIE fighters in the skies above Takodana

I thought the best scene was the bloody hand print on Finn's ST helmet at the beginning, I literally said 'whoa' out loud in the theatre.
In my opinion, the best moment is when Finn and Poe are taking off in the tie fighter, and you hear its engine rev up, and then when they break the tether you heat it's engine redlining a bit. Gave me chills.

My favorite part is when Rey and Fin find the Millennium Falcon. Childhood memories came flooding back :')
Yeah liked that too, but did it bother anyone else that Rey beat kylo, like, sith bro who trains all the time, and is crazy strong force (as demonstrated by the lazer), gets beat by someone who's never held a light saber before.
:( I liked him, it's a shame he and others such as Mara Jade have been removed. I would have liked episode 7 to have been according to the EU, rather than a very different story (which is basically a remake of the original movie).
Besides, a Star Destroyer? Isn't that a little shark-jumpy and Marty Stu? I mean come on.
