But Obama is dark-skinned. So he's being depicted truthfully. Therefore, he is black.

Would you rather they make him look like two-face, half black face and half white face? Or maybe put a big swirl on his face to show that he's mixed black and white?

It is a light brown, though.
Without another shade to compare it to, there's no reason to lighten it up. It will always show as a black person until another comes along who can be shown darker and show a difference between the two.
