Little known fact, as far as beef goes, all the bugs that can hurt you are on the outside, so technically you can just sear the outside and eat the rest of it raw, don't recommend it though, kinda gross.
in europe we like our steak max 1 cm thick and not grasping for its final breaths as it bleeds to death on our plate, so... as an european, this looks like something i'd sue the restaurant for.
Seems a bit sue happy.... to get a steak like this you have to order it like this so there goes your lawsuit and if it was a mistake then it was just a mistake send it back and they'll cook you another.... I also like how you can speak for ALL Europeans. You must all dress the same and drive the same cars and all be on this site too huh? You know, since you're all the same right?
1) the suing part was a joke. i hoped that was obivous enough, given my overdone expresisve satirical style but okay.
2) i obviously can't speak for all europeans. funnily enough, i wasn't even trying to so i don't get what you issue is. in general, europen residents mind bloody stakes and would not be very happy to see one on their plate. there's the tattare stuff and some other dishes that require raw-ish meat but that's exception as you might know. or not.
.
anyway. i'm kind of sorry i even bothered to comment because it is quite known americans won't allow anyone tell them there are, in fact, other ways to go about things in places that are not usa and that people in those places consider the american way uncommon and odd, at times also laughable and rather terrible. enjoy your raw steaks! i do hope you don't get infected with any salmonellas or anything.
But hey, opinions and what not.
