We have specialized butcher shops in Vojvodina Serbia with NOTHING BUT horse meat. Also burgers stands. You forgot the donkeys. I'd never eat them they so cute, but they skin them alive with boiled water in the middle of street in Asia. Different strokes. They eat dogs in China, you know. Point is.. They don't eat pugs or tiny bits of chihuahuas. They specifically breed special type just for eating. We pet Vietnamese pot bellies but we can't pet mangalitza pig, they sh*t a looot and they like to wallow in it and they do have wool. But when you skin them... Mmm delicious.
:'( why skim them alive!? Poor poor animals :( I understand animals eat other animals too but why the cruelty and I can't stand the thought of animals in cages just waiting to be killed :'(
Hey I totally get it. Chinese culture has a wide range of insects you munch on. I would never bash anyone for eating bugs. They may be tasty. I'm just gonna pass.
Yeah it's actually part of a lot of cultures. I'm not sure which region eats chocolate covered crickets, but that's a thing. And locus and honey was a like a cheesecake today in biblical times.
If you're interested watch "idiot abroad" on Netflix. I think it's the episode called the Great Wall, and might be second season. Karl goes to the market and it's... Something.
I'm just not going to eat a bug on purpose, I've eaten a few by accident, but I'll never say, "pass me the platter of grubs.
Actually horse meat is apparently quite good for you, less tough than cow and less fatty than pig. Never ate a horse myself, but if the opportunity presented itself, I'd try. I already tasted frog legs, escargots, raw salmon and all kinds of other stuff anyway, so where's the problem?
You know there's Internet forums for that. Some people want to be eaten and will happily leave you their body in their will to be consumed (which is very legal in some countries)
ive eaten rabbit stew. it was delicious. ive eaten horse sausages. liked it as well. maybe its the stone age in me but if its tasty, nutritious and wont kill me, well, i'll eat it.
I love how the arrows under the animals turning red means food.. Under the dog it's pinkish, so it's actually kinda suggesting dogs are food. Nice going, billboard designer.
Rabbit is down right tasty. I am saying this and I have a fat, gorgeous pet rabbit named Bun Bun. I wouldn't eat him but my hunter relatives bring some back from the woods, I am chowing down with no regrets. Not an endangered species, vastly over populated in most areas (which increases the possibility that they will starve to death) and culling is good for the overall health of the remaining animals. Same with deer. Peace.
But you have to cook carefully or it'd be dry
*puts it into my collection*
Won't say it's delicious but it's interesting to eat and has a lot of protein with no fat
