We learned this in intro to agriculture but the teachers just used us as free labor to plant the crops for that year. We never got to eat any and we were filthy for the remaining 6 hours of the day.
I did see it, I know a few rural schools that do this, it should be everywhere though it doesn't take much more than a few inches of soil and a couple minutes a day to care for.
I think it needs to be an option. Like, you can be in gym, or learn how to grow a bunch of crops. Either one is healthy, and you don't have to get naked after you grow crops.
I think schools at lest teach you the skills you need to research on how to grow your own food already now. I mean once you can read it's easy grabbing a book or surfing on the web, can't be that hard. Teaching yourself physics etc. by yourself would be pretty hard. So I think right now it's fine.
in my primary school we had fish which water filtered into three of the gardening beds and back into the tank so the plants got the nutrients from the fish waste and in turn cleaned the water. We also had chickens, two other gardens, an orchid, worms and for some reason a frog pond.
No. Schools can barely teach kids to read and write, maybe after they get a handle on that. *Shout out to @otaku7654889 for noticing my spelling mistake... It's 2:54 AM my time and I haven't been able to sleep yet :)
