Child support doesn't actually force a pregnancy on a person. It assigns a financial burden, but not an emotional, physical, spiritual one. Taking care of a child and throwing money at it are two completely different things.
It's a legal document they have drawn up completely forfeiting all legal rights, and obligations, to the child, similar to a parent giving up a child for adoption, but in this case it is simply the father giving up the child legally.
This doesn't apply in all states, there are some where they may still have to provide financial support in certain cases.
Thank you, Pripy, for focusing on what really matters. Financial responsibility is important, but if you bring a child into this world, even if it's a surprise (not "accident" as my father might say) you have a responsibility to do your part raising him or her and be an actual POSITIVE INFLUENCE in their lives.
It is easy, but spmetimes they don't, which is fucked up. There have even been cases where it turns out the kid isn't his, and the government makes him pay child support regardless. It doesn't happen often, but it happens often enough to be a problem.
Everything is a problem for the person who has it. But when there's only like a few cases a year, it's NOT a problem for society and we shouldn't pretend it was. Like people claiming to be genderfluid, misandry or black->white racism. All of that does exist, but none of it is a real problem.
Once again i fall back into the realm of you do you and allow me to do me. You don't support abortion then fine don't have one.

If i get a woman pregnant it will become a priority of mine to take care of that child regardless of relationship status with the mother. I cannot fathom how people, not just men mind you, can abandon their children.
I like this idea, its kind of old school. Y'know like wen a man made a woman pregnant they would have to get married. But it would be up to the parents if they wanna take whatever relationship they had that far, but still insuring that both parents take care of the child.
I find it funny that if a man does not want the person that got the woman pregnant has no choice in the matter of if they want that child. I know it's the woman's body, they can choose to take the pregnancy to term, I just don't expect the man to have to take on child support because he couldn't stop his woman giving birth.

Too bad they usually don't

And I think Abortion should be legal.
