I was gonna say something truly 'Murican, but I realized it was a British sniper. All I can say is, "Fuck yeah, Motherfucker!". These must be some sorry sons of bitches if it's become an international kick assery against the goat fuckers.
They don't.
Geneva may want to treat them like people, but they have already proven themselves as less than human.
These jerks aren't foreign soldiers, they aren't just guys doing their jobs, they're terrorists. They are extremists that would happily undue centuries of progress while killing, torturing, raping, and enslaving as many infidels as possible.
I can't believe garlog thinks isis members count as human. Specieswise, sure, but they reject all the modern conventions normal humans follow, so legally they shouldnt have the same rights as humans.

I'm not saying they're not human but they are really messed up humans, they deserve prison not death, I mean if they catch them it would be harder living in prison than dying for their "cause"
Unfortunately, we generally don't get to decide what people do with our opinion once it's out there :/
Also: These people? ISIS/Taliban/Nazis/whatever the "evil" flavor of the decade is? They kill/enslave/rape/maim because they believe certain people, for some reason (culture, gender, religion, sexuality), are less than human, less deserving of human rights than other people. Do they need to be stopped? Yes. Due to their behavior, will this require killing some of them? Yes. But the instant you stop seeing them as human, as a whole person whose life and will have somehow warped their behavior into this but still, at base, a human being, with dreams and hopes and thoughts and desperations - at that point, you start to become them.
In this situation it doesn't matter if they do or not. Even if they do, killing 3 people to save 12 people is completely justified if there isn't enough time to stop them.
The first to target innocents loses the right to be considered human in my eyes.
Collateral damage is inevitable in war, that's why I still respect most militaries that America considers potential enemies, I respect most of the old enemies of America for the same reasons. But terrorists and criminals target the innocent almost exclusively. And not just for death either. Killing innocents is bad enough, but these jerks won't be satisfied until every other god and culture is enslaved or erased.
By that logic, the USA has a tremendous lead on ISIS. US forces have committed a number of genocides - the one immediately springing to mind being in the 1830s - over the decades, and ISIS has only been around since the late '90's/early '00's, and has only been going by that name since, what, '14? And if you count CIA interventions in foreign nations and not just "boots on the ground" invasions, we've been at it relatively recently.
Unfortunately, the thinking that once committing a violent crime makes a person subhuman is common in U.S. society, and may be among the reasons we have such a high rate of recidivism for a wealthy society.
I laugh at these comments complaining that the guy didn't get a fair trial or a fair chance when he delighted in burning people alive and was just about to do that to more people.
I'd rather have ISIS members be captured alive and placed in government funded 'human zoos' where people can pay to beat the fuck out of them ($10/ punch or something). Of course, high quality medical techniques should be used to keep them alive as long as possible. Basically death is too easy for ISIS members, they deserve eternal torture with no hope of escape.
Also, they may be ISIS, but we'd also be violating the Geneva Conventions. Anyways, why fund their healthcare when we don't even fund the heathcare of our own people?
Fuck Geneva, that the kind of pussy shit that's got us fighting with one hand behind our back and our other arm in a sling. War is about death, killing other people before they kill you. There are no rules in war, only those who survive by harsh means, and those who don't survive at all.
That's what the Germans thought too, but then came the Nuremberg trials. I mean, we can at least agree a ban on nuclear and biological weapons is a good thing, right?
