I mean even if you're not born in 2000.

no its saying that people, like myself, that are born in 2000 will always know how old they are because you just add whatever year it is to 2000, if its 2016 then you are 16 years old because you were born in 2000

Drugs, alcohol, old age, and not caring after so long because my birthday is just another day in life.

I told multiple people I was 29 for an entire year... I was 28. It happens, and it will happen to you.

After 21 you stop caring. I've had to pull out a calculator to subtract my birth year from the current year more times then I'd like to admit.

I sometimes forget how old I am, what year it is, and my own name.

I was born in 2000 so literally all I have to do is look at the last two numbers. I always know my age but I feel that the older they get the harder it is for people to remember.

Most of the key years/milestones are early in life: Driving, graduation from various levels of schools, legal adult, voting, drinking, then there is usually a "oh no 30/40/whatever" then senior citizen status, and retirement age, but in the middle there's no need to bring up your age on a regular basis, and if you're like most people it's less of a big to-do rather than a low key birthday dinner if any sort of celebration.

Let us not forget that magic age of 25 when they finally let you rent a car. Votes, smokes, drinks, breeds, works, goes to prison (maybe), but can't get a base model Kia for three days. Just sayin'.

the older you get the less relevant it is to your everyday life. some of us never cared about our birthday. my friends had to remind me when it was my birthday as far back as middle school. i never found my birthday to be important. it seems kinda weird to celebrate yourself.

I am not a birthday superfan, but it's oddly morbid AND cool to celebrate the fact that you didn't die this year, right? Aging isn't really an accomplishment until you are like over 90, but not dying is!

well, that happened to me a couple of times. i'll be 39 this dec, but been in conversation where i unintendedly said i'm 39 already. actually, i don't give a flying fuck, your state of soul defines your actual age

Certain brain tumors can make you forget your age, so can strokes and other neurological issues, some of the migraines I get can make me forget a whole day or more.

the second you're not 20 anymore you keep thinking of yourself as a 20year old and very year since it gets more depressing to stop and think about your actual age.
