Every. single. fucking. time. I eventually just started answering to the wrong name instead of correcting them

When I say people my name as how I've said my name for 21 years here in Germany, they never understand. However when I say my name with an accent they perfectly understand

A lot of people pronounce my name as Ler-een.
And no. It's just Loren. Pronounce it how you see it. It's not fancy

I have an easy name, yet somehow people always try to add a U, W, or Y to the pronunciation...

My name is Audrey, when I was little people thought that I had misspelled 'Aubrey'.
That or thought because I said 'Awh-We' as my name when I was little I would get all sorts of different names.

An ex friend of mines mother couldn't say my name to save her. In her defense she was Hispanic and had a thick accent. She tried though. I learned to respond to "Andre" or something like that.

My shorthand name, people can pronounce if I tell it to them, but most folks that aren't family, extended or not, can't pronounce my full name at all.

Yeah with me they would always be like "why is there a curse word in this [insert gender here]'s name?"
